Territorial Monitoring & Defense
Restoring lands, protecting future generations
The Territorial Monitoring & Defense initiative is designed to support frontline communities in building sustainable, sovereign systems that protect land, preserve culture, strengthen self-determination and integrate Indigenous wisdom into modern global solutions.
What We Do
We support Indigenous Nations in monitoring, protecting and defending their territories against illegal extraction, deforestation and encroachment.
Why It Matters
Indigenous Nations protect some of the most biodiverse and ecologically vital territories on Earth, yet remain among the most impacted by colonial violence, extraction and systemic exclusion.
Contemporary realities include:
- Illegal mining and logging activities
- Expansion of industrial agriculture
- Infrastructure and development pressures
- Environmental contamination
- Ongoing defense of territorial sovereignty
